One of the many paradoxes of the Christian life is that the grace of God is more deeply experienced not in the best of times, but in what seems to be the worst of times. When the Christian experiences affliction or challenge, or perhaps even suffers a lot—not only can he or she find comfort from the “God of All Comfort”– but their experience can become a launch pad for them to “pay it forward” in comforting others.
